Capacity Building to Facilitate Implementation of the Effort Sharing Legislation, with Focus on Ex-post Evaluation and Policy Lessons Learned

Free Workshop on Tuesday 15th October 2019


The European Commission, Directorate-General Climate Action, has commissioned a project led by Ricardo to strengthen Member States’ capacity to implement and meet their objectives, under the effort sharing legislation  A key part of this project is delivering workshops with the aim to share practical experiences between Member States in the implementation of national policies to reduce GHG emissions in sectors which fall under the scope of the legislation.

The first workshop will be held on the 15th October 2019 at the European Commission’s office in Bucharest and registration is currently open until 9th October 2019.  The workshop if free to attend. Places will be limited so early registration is advisable. Priority for places will be given to policy makers from EU Member States, but we also welcome attendance from non-governmental organisations and the private sector.

The final agenda is available to download. The workshop will focus on policies in the transport and agriculture sectors, and on the sharing of practical experiences between policy makers. Regular updates of the agenda will be posted on the website. The presentations will be in English with no translation facilities.
